Good JKD classes in Los Angeles area?

Hi,

I am a formal student of Sifu Tackett's. I've recently returned to California after being in Texas since 1998. I live out in the South Bay(Manhattan Beach) and was wondering if there were any JKD instructors out here. I currently work about 10 minutes away from the Inosanto Academy in Marina Del Rey. Could anyone recommend any teachers out in this area? I think I found my style that most suits me which is more of the Muay Thai/punching/kicking/trapping and less of the Ju-Jitsu/grappling style. I see that kickboxing classes are taught at the Inosanto Academy. Would that be a good way to go?

Also, does anyone know of any beginner wing chun seminars coming up in the LA area?

when I checked with him three to four years ago, Jeff Scharlin was teaching privates within the vicinity of venice beach. I could be wrong on this though. They do have the jun fan classes at the ol' academy. But if I was a bettin man, I'd find out the schedule of who's teaching those classes and on what days. From what I've heard and witnessed, you might want to look for Louis Campos, as he's a long-timer, really knows his stuff, but more importantly, teaches his stuff really well.

If you want a good wing chun group, go to Monterey Park and hunt for Gary Lam. He's one of the good ones.
