Saturday I went to Black Belt Magazine to film a short question and answer section on the new edition of the "Tao". I was one of the JKD teachers to write a short piece on what the book meant to me as a JKD practitioner. I was given a copy of the new edition. I think that they did a great job. It is cleaner and better organized that the old edition. All the Chinese writing in the 1st edition has bee translated. Even if you have the old one (and I'm sure you do), the new edition is really worth it.

For me Tao of Jeet Kune Do is like mind chess where you make your decision about next thought.

I read the Tao everyday an I train hard from this book an also you's my tactics an training method's from my own martial arts training an experience's! It's worth it's weight in gold!! My first mma fight a friend let me use his Tao to read an study. I read it cover to cover twice an applied his principles an philosophies to my training an I knocked the guy out first round very quickly. This book changed my life alot from the way I think to the way I train. I hope it does the same for everyone else. Peace!:)

i find the tao very confusing at times. i mean i get it but its like at times i try too hard to understand. but i feel that if i continue training the way i know how the answers will come on their own

In many ways I agree with "MealsOnWheels92" about The Tao being difficult to understand.

Nevertheless, with Mr. Tackett's endorsement, I plan to pick up the newest version very soon. :)
