ok. i just scanned through this book. is this guy serious? has anyone else seen this book? im shocked and flabbergasted at what i saw in this book. sure, if he is kidding then its pretty funny. however, if he is serious, then i am offended by the material in this book. i cant believe i wasted any money on it.

How could you think THIS was a joke?

I got my certification from him.
You can too!

A much better deal than those "Lopez JKD" DVD courses

i want to be cautious to those who have trained with this gentleman because i do not know him or his qualifications. but the book is very different. let me say that i mean no disrespect but i have nearly every book on jkd and i was disturbed by some of the things written in mr. cox's book. i just wasnt sure if it was his serious attempt to write a jkd book or if he was poking fun. again, i just dont see this as a serious jkd book. just my opinion, having been in martial arts for forty years and having read more than three hundred books and more than three hundred magazines just in the first ten years of my studies.

Sorry....sometimes Sarcasm doesn't carry too well between different countries.
It is not serious.

oh thats ok. i thought maybe it was a touch of sarcasm...he is a darn good banjo player. and i am not on here to bash people. i enjoy all martial art styles and practitioners. i have learned a great deal over the years from everyone i have encountered, whether they were good or bogus. but sometimes things just take you back. if you examined this person's book you would see what i mean. if we represent ourselves as part of something we should do it with integrity. that is why i was so shocked by the material in the book. there are a couple of pages devoted to brushing your teeth because bruce lee told longstreet to bite. this man claims that bruce lee came to him in a dream and taught him jkd and told him to go out and teach what he had learned....there are photos that are photoshopped that are obviously fake. i mean, wow. he is into flagellation...sounds like a pentecostal type thing....and i dont know, there is just so much wrong with this book as far as jkd is concerned. apparently he has a movie coming out and a couple other books that are out of print, as well as a board game. i guess what they say is true, let the buyer beware. i have almost every jkd book out there. there are about six or seven books that i havent gotten yet. so i do spend alot of time researching various arts, not just jkd. but again, thanks for clarifying....

It's a mock, he doesn't really have a bordgame, or those other books, notice how they've always been 'Out Of Print'.
